Charles Hazlitt Cahan
Charles Hazlitt Cahan (October 31, 1861–August 15, 1944) was a Canadian lawyer, editor and politician.
Born in Hebron, Nova Scotia , he was first elected to the Canadian House of Commons in the 1925 election as a Conservative MP and was a candidate at the 1927 Conservative leadership convention finishing in third place. He served as Secretary of State of Canada in the 1930-1935 cabinet of Prime Minister R.B. Bennett. He lost his seat in the 1940 general election and died four years later.
