Charles Nolin
Charles Nolin (1837 – 28 January 1907) was a Métis farmer and political organiser noted for his role in the North-West Rebellion of 1885. Along with Louis Riel, Nolin initially advocated taking up arms in order to resolve Métis grievances with the Canadian government, but changed his stance following the Riel's estrangement from the Roman Catholic clerics of the Saint-Laurent mission. He was subsequently the member for Batoche, Saskatchewan in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan.
