Cherokee is the name of a tribe of Native Americans. The name of this tribe of people is the source of all other references to the word Cherokee:

- The Iroquoian language spoken by the Cherokee is called the Cherokee language.
- An automobile model called the Jeep Cherokee.
- A family of light airplanes built by Piper Aircraft is called the Piper Cherokee Six.
- A fashion label, "Cherokee of California," was a major manufacturer of women's platform shoes in the late 1970s and 1980s, then branched out into casual clothing, and eventually degenerated into little more than a licensing company.
