Chewin' the Fat

Chewin' the Fat is a comedy series set in Scotland, starring Ford Kiernan , Greg Hemphill and Karen Dunbar .

It first started as a radio series on BBC Radio Scotland. The television show was first broadcast on BBC One Scotland but series 3 and 4, as well as highlights from the first two series, were later broadcast to the rest of the British Isles. Although the last series ended in February 2002, every year there is a 'Hogmanay Special' shown on New Year's Eve on BBC One Scotland.

Recurring characters include the bad actor Ronald Villiers; know-all Harry with his wife and their pal George; Betty, an OAP with X-rated memories of the Second World War; the Lonely Shopkeeper; the Computer Salesmen and the Lighthouse Keepers who coined the Scots phrase "Gaunae no dae that."

Chewin' the Fat also gave birth to a spin-off show, Still Game , which focused on the two old men in the show, Jack and Victor.
