China Northern Airlines
China Northern Airliners (中国北方航空), was an airline based in Taoxian International Airport , Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China.
China Northern Airliners' IATA designator is CJ and the ICAO airline code is CBF.
History
Since 2003, China Northern Airlines has mergered into China Southern Airlines.
Accidents
- On November 26, 1993, China Northern flight 6901 from Beijing to Urumqi, a McDonnell-Douglas MD-82 (Reg. B-2141) airliner, crashed on approach to Urumqi airport, killing 12 of 102 on board. crew error.
- On May 7, 2002, China Northern flight 6136 from Beijing to Dalian, a McDonnell-Douglas MD-82 (Reg. B-2138) airliner, crashed in to a bay near Dalian, killing all 111 on board.
