Chris Brown (pro football player)
Chris Brown (born April 17 1981) is an American football player who plays for the National Football League Tennessee Titans. His career has been blighted by injury.
Born April 17 1981 in Winfield, Illinois he played College football with Colorado Buffaloes for the University of Colorado at Boulder. As a rookie in 2003, Brown was benched for the pre-season and 5 regular season games due to a hamstring injury. Although being behind two other backs, Brown averaged 3.9 yards per carry on 56 carries totalling 221 yards. This was the Titans team high for the 2003 season.
At the beginning of the 2004 season, Brown was promoted to starting running back due to the absence of Eddie George in the Titans' line-up. He had a strong start, but several injuries forced him to miss significant time and also affected his play.
In January 2005 he had successful surgery to both his ankles.
