Christina Vidal

Christina Vidal (born November 18, 1981) is a Puerto Rican actress. She plays Taina Morales, who is also a teen from Puerto Rico but, just like Vidal in real life, a resident of New York.

Vidal, who used to take the train to school in the Queens area of Whitestone, where she grew up, did not plan on becoming an actress when she was growing up. Instead, she wanted to be a singer and dancer, and by the age of nine, she was quite experienced in front of the cameras, but only with her dancing and singing. Then, one of her teachers told her there was an audition for a movie, Life With Mikey , starring Michael J. Fox, and she auditioned, getting the part of Angie Vega in it.

Apart from being Puerto Rican and having to take a train to school, Christina and her character Taina share one more trait: Like Taina, Christina used to attend the Performing Arts School Of New York when she was younger.

Apart from Taina and Life With Mikey, Vidal's other credits include:

  • (television series)
  • Girls Across The Lake (series)
  • Commish (series)
  • Beck (show) (series)
  • Touched by an Angel (series)
  • FX (series)
  • Cosby Mystery Series (series)
  • Mickey's 65th Birthday (special)
  • Freaky Friday (movie-as Lindsay's bestfriend)
  • Brink (movie)
  • Welcome To the Dollhouse (movie)
  • Details (movie)

Christina's family includes sisters Lisa, who is also an actress who was on Third Watch, High Incidents and City Limits , and Tanya, who acts in theater and writes.

Christina moved to Sherman Oaks, California, to proceed with the filming of Taina.
