Churchill Square
Churchill Square is Brighton and Hove's only shopping centre, or 'mall', as it is referred to by many inhabitants of the city. It is home to over 50 shops on three floors, and has thousands of visitors a year.
Like most malls Churchill Square is largely occupied by chain stores and is considered generic and soulless by many residents and visitors. Other areas of the city such as the nearby Lanes and North Laine contain many quirkier independent shops, as well as more upmarket shops than those to be found in Churchill Square.
