City-High-Rise-Building Leipzig
The City-High-Rise-Building Leipzig at the Augustusplatz is with 142.5 meters the highest building in the city of Leipzig. It developed between 1968 and 1972 after drafts of the architect Hermann Henselmann. The university giant (like the building gladly also one calls) has the form of an opened up book and is the center of the university complex. The university is not today any longer on the inside to find (the building was sold by the federal state government, new owner is the "Aareal Estate AG"); Tenants are among other things the MDR or the panorama restaurant Between the years 1999 and 2002 the town center multistoried building was completely reorganized, both all 29 floors and the front. On the roof a prospect platform is furnished.
