Class A drug
Class A is the highest classification of illegal drugs in the United Kingdom.
Class A drugs include:
- opiates, including heroin, methadone, morphine and opium (but not codeine)
- cocaine, including crack and coca leaves
- hallucinogens, including LSD, mescaline and magic mushrooms (when prepared in any way)
- Ecstasy
- THC/cannabinol (synthetic; cannabis, as in marijuana or hashish, used to be Class B, and is Class C since January 2004)
- amphetamine/methamphetamine (when prepared for injection; otherwise it is Class B)
