Clevo first was established in 1983 as a laptop manufacturer in Taiwan, but has diversified into various technology interests, including computer peripherals, communications and retail development. As a business entity, they operate the following subdivisions:
- Clevo - Laptop ODM and All-in-One Computer systems
- Chicony - Keyboard and Computer Peripheral supplier
- Hipro - Commercial PSU supplier
- XAVL - Commercial xDSL supplier
- AViTA - Biomedical manufacturer

Clevo Computing Division
Clevo is a large Taiwanese computer company specialising in laptops. While the Clevo brand name is perhaps not widely known, their products are rebranded and sold by Original Equipment Manufacturers, including Hypersonic, Sager, Alienware and Prostar.
Their top of the range laptop, the Portanote D900T, is probably the world's most fully featured desktop replacement laptop to date. It features the desktop version of the Pentium 4 processor, support for 2 optical drives and 2 hard drives and weighs 12.5 lb (5.7 kg).
Established in 1983, as a Original Design Manufacturer, they resell barebone products ranging from laptop to portable computing solutions for both AMD and Intel processors. Their main laptop range include:
- PortaNote - Desktop Replacement and Multimedia systems
- MobiNote - Thin and Lightweight systems
- LCD PC - Portable Desktop all-in-one solutions
