Clifford Bourland
Clifford Bourland (born January 1, 1921 in Los Angeles). He was a member of the winning 4 × 400 m relay team in the 1948 Summer Olympics held in London, along with Arthur Harnden, Roy Cochran and Mal Whitfield.
Born of a German mother and an American father, Bourland ran in a competition for the first time in 1932. After a failed attempt to start a career in municipal politics, he was hired by an insurance company. He now owns a part of a mortgage banking firm called Norris, Biggs and Simpson .
