Clifford Walter Dupont
Clifford Walter Dupont (1905 - 1978) was a British-Rhodesian political figure. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Rhodesia from 1964 to 1965, before being appointed 'Officer Administering the Government' (effectively replacing the Governor, Sir Humphrey Gibbs) following the Unilateral Declaration of Independence on 11 November, 1965. When Rhodesia was declared a republic, Dupont served President of Rhodesia between 1970 and 1976.
