Clive Barker's Undying
The DreamWorks Interactive-developed PC game Clive Barker's Undying, based on the book: The Prince of Horror is an FPS released in 2001. In the game, the main character, Patrick Galloway, travels to the Covernet Estate, the island-based family home of a dying war friend, Jeremiah in order to investigate the family curse. As it turns out, the family (Jeremiah's siblings: Ambrose, Lizbeth, Bethany, and Aaron) are still about on the island, albeit in undead form, and the protagonist must ultimately defeat them all as well as numerous other horrors that now roam the island due to an unfortunate connection with a parallel spirit world.
The game itself was critically well-received, but sold poorly. In fact, sales were so low that the company couldn't even be bothered to put out a promised multi-player patch.Console versions later released were also flops, and EA,who were considering a sequel-has since shelved the idea.
