Clive Burr
Clive Burr was one of the first drummers in the british heavy metal band Iron Maiden. He joined the band in 1979 and played on their first three records: Iron Maiden, Killers and The Number of the Beast. He left the band in 1982 due to the tour schedule and personal problems. He was replaced by the band's current drummer, Nicko McBrain.
Burr has since been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, the treatment of which left him deeply in debt. Iron Maiden staged a series of charity concerts after and were involved in the founding of the "Clive Burr MS Trust Fund" in order to assist him in his financial difficulties. For several years Iron Maiden tribute bands have made a some sort of a festival, Clive Aid, where they play and support him. Clive usually attends these festivals.
