Code2000

In digital typography, James Kass 's Code2000 OpenType font is designed to support as much of the Unicode standard, version 4.0, as possible.

The font is available as shareware from the author's website.

Other well-known Unicode fonts include Arial Unicode MS, Lucida Sans Unicode, and the Free Software Foundation fonts.

Code2001

James Kass has also created Code2001, a freeware test font for Unicode's Plane One.

Code2001 includes support for:

ISO-8859-1 characters are also included, as per the specifications.

Old Persian Cuneiform, Tengwar, and Cirth are not yet approved for use in Unicode, and therefore are encoded in Private Use Areas, both in the Basic Multilingual Plane and Plane Fifteen.

The following paragraph is in Code2001 if it is installed on your machine. If not, a monospace font is used:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur. Excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non proident, sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum. 这是一些汉字。 Zhè shì yì xiē Hànzì. Example of IPA transcription: /ɪg'zɑːmpəl əv aɪpiː'eɪ tɹɑːn'skɹɪpʃən/. Greek: Ελληνικά. Cyrillic: Кириллица. Thai: ฟหกดึ้. Khmer: កខ. Arabic: العربية.
