Colonel By Drive (Ottawa)

Colonel By Drive is a scenic parkway in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It runs along the Rideau Canal from the end of Sussex Drive at Rideau Street. and continues South and West to Hog's Back Road , winding through sevral residential areas and going past Dow's Lake and Carleton University.
Colonel By Drive is paralleled by the Queen Elizabeth Driveway , another scenic Canadian parkway. Also of note: the road houses the headquarters of the Canadian Military Police Association .
It is named for Colonel John By, who built the Rideau Canal.
