Comanche Moon
Comanchee Moon, a novel by Larry McMurtry is the last in his Lonesome Dove series. It tells the story of Gus McRae and Woodrow Call's younger years as Texas Rangers before settling into a meager exsistance from ranching. McRae awaits the love of Clara Forsythe and Call the time for ranging. Together they go after many villains, most prominently Blueduck, the son of a Comanchee chief, and a Mexican captive.
Note: The Lonesome Dove series was not written in the chonological order of the saga.
