There are several senses for Commentary:

- In computing, a comment is a code construct which allows the expression of the intention of the coder. Thus, commentary is an essential part of a well-written computer program.
- Commentary is an American neoconservative public affairs journal. It became very prominent during the 1980s for advocating a very harsh stance against the Soviet Union. This view had a great deal of influence on the Reagan administration.
