Cornelia, Free State
Cornelia is a small town in the Free State Province of South Africa. It was named after the wife of former Free State President Francis Reitz . On the Uitzoek farm 10km north of Cornelia, fossils where discovered, including a donkey sized pig and the horse like chalicothere (Eurygnathohippus cornelianus ) only previously found in Tanzania. Stone Age tools have also been found here.
