Corporate Airlines Flight 5966
Corporate Airlines Flight 5966 was a flight route that flew from Lambert-Saint Louis International Airport to Kirksville, Missouri. Corporate Airlines fly the route as part of the American Connection network, an affiliate of American Airlines. On October 20 2004, a twin-engine turboprop flying the route crashed on the approach to Kirksville, killing 13 people and injuring two.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time, but the flight did go down in heavy rain and thunderstorms. It is not thought that terrorism is the cause at this time.
According to the Kansas City Star newspaper, some of the 13 passengers were doctors from other states who had been due to attend a seminar at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
