Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi (Latin: Body of Christ), in Catholicism is a religious feast celebrated by on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday (eighth Sunday after Easter), i.e. 60 days after Easter, in order to commemorate the institution of the Holy Eucharist. This moveable feast is, in the United States, however, observed three days later, on the Sunday after Trinity Sunday. The day is a national holiday in some Catholic countries.
