Council for Secular Humanism
The Council for Secular Humanism is the only exclusively Secular Humanist organization in the USA. The council is based in New York, and acts as an umbrella organization for a number of other groups such as the Campus Freethought Alliance, and Secular Organizations for Sobriety. It also publishes several magazines and newsletters, including Free Inquiry . The council was founded and is headed by Dr. Paul Kurtz.
The Council for Secular Humanism with the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP) and The Commission for Scientific Medicine and Mental Health is an affiliate of the Center for Inquiry Transnational.
