Cray Y-MP
The Cray Y-MP was a supercomputer sold by Cray Research from 1988, and the successor of the company's Cray X-MP. The Y-MP could be equipped with up to sixteen vector processors, and was first released with a clockspeed of 6.5 nanoseconds and thus a peak speed of 2.7 Gigaflops. It primarily used the UniCOS operating system.
