Cynothoglys
Cynothoglys, the Mortician God, is a Great Old One in the Cthulhu Mythos, first appearing in Thomas Ligotti's short story, "The Prodigy of Dreams". It appears as a shapeless, multiform entity with a single arm, used for catching those who summoned it, bringing them painless, ecstatic death. In ancient times it held a small cult in Italy, although more in the sense of honouring it then worshipping it, conisidering it to be neither good nor evil but very ancient and to be respected. Its extent of power is unknown and may well be like that of the mighty Outer Gods: unlimited.
