DB-9
DB-9 is a common misnomer for a 9 pin D-shell connector, properly known as DE-9. This connector was used for the RS 232 port on the IBM AT and compatible computers. See also spec
DE-9 connectors are also used for some token ring networks, joysticks, and for a myriad of other electronics uses.
