Dace

A dace is any of a number of species of small cyprinid fish.

The unmodified name is usually a reference to the common dace Leuciscus leuciscus but it may also mean:

  • Fallfish Semotilus corporalis (Canada)
  • Chinese mud carp Cirrhinus chinensis (Hong Kong)

"Dace" also appears in combination to designate a variety of species:
