Dalereckoning

Dalereckoning - commonly abbreviated to DR - is the primary fictional numbering of years in the Forgotten Realms Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting.

In conjunction with the Calendar of Harptos , that gives years names, Dalereckoning is used mainly in the Western Heartlands , Sword Coast and central and north Faerūn areas.

The Dalereckoning calendar was begun in 1 DR when the Standing Stone was raised by the elves of Cormathyr and the humans of the Dalelands.

The current campaign date of the Forgotten Realms, according to the updates of the Player's Guide to Faerūn , is 1373 DR - as of the real-world year of 2004.
