Daniel Craig

Daniel Wroughton Craig (born March 2, 1968) is an English actor.

He was born in Chester, England, the son of a steel erector and an art teacher. He was brought up in Liverpool and moved to London when he was 16 to join the National Youth Theater, later securing a place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Daniel's film career began with The Power of One in 1992, and he later gained recognition with the hit TV series Our Friends in the North in 1996. Later credits include the 2002 Sam Mendes movie Road to Perdition with Tom Hanks, Sylvia with Gwyneth Paltrow, and Enduring Love with Rhys Ifans.

Craig as recent as February 2005 has been in the media as a possible contender to replace Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. On April 6, 2005 Craig was reported to have been signed by EON Productions for the upcoming film Casino Royale as part of a three-film contract worth £15 million. [1], however, this news has been debunked by the BBC [2] who contacted EON for an official report. A new James Bond, according to EON has not been chosen and won't be chosen or announced until director Martin Campbell is free from his latest film.
