Darren Carter
Darren Carter (born December 18, 1983 in Solihull, England) is an English football player and midfielder who currently plays for Birmingham City F.C. as a midfielder.
Having made his debut in the 1-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion F.C. on January 29, 2002, he hit the headlines in May, when, in the play-off final he scored the winning penalty kick after the match finished as a draw in regular time.
An England Under-20 international, after signing a contract to keep him at the club until 2006, he was loaned to Sunderland F.C. in September 2004, scoring on his debut, and making nine further appearances. This gave his Birmingham career the boost it needed, and he is now seen as a vital member of the squad.
