David Archuleta

DAVID (David Archuleta) was born on May 5, 1982 and is a United States Army soldier of Okinawan stationary troops and an American kickboxer.

Biography

David Archuleta

David Archuleta was born in Albuquerque, in the American state of New Mexico. He came to Japan as a US soldier for stationary troops of Okinawa in 1999. He decided to try to be a kickboxer when he watched K-1 and Andy Hug 's fight on TV in Japan.

As a professional kickboxer

He became a pupil of "Maki Gym Okinawa " to learn kickboxing. Then, he won the title of ISKA Okinawan regional Middleweight champion when he knocked out Yamamoto in the 3rd round in June of 2002.

Challenge to the stars

He went to draw against Hitoshi Ogasawara who was a national champion of Thailand although he was Japanese. In addition, he also went to draw against HAYATO who is a star of japanese kickboxing world.

In 2004, he beat Takehiro Murahama, the winner of K-1 JAPAN'97 Fetherweight tounament by decision with perfect Muay Thai skills.

Dream for being K-1 fighter

David took part in K-1 WORLD MAX 2004 (Middleweight championship of K-1) as a single match. Then he knocked out a Chinese sanda fighter.

He challenged against Akeomi Nitta to win the title of I.K.U.S.A. 70kg class championship. However, he lost by decision.
