David H. Turpin
David H. Turpin is the sixth president of the University of Victoria, a university in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Turpin has a PhD in botany and oceanography from the University of British Columbia and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He has also studied extensively at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre.
Under Turpin's administration tuition fees increased by a higher percentage at UVic than any other post-secondary institution in the country. According to Statistics Canada tuition fees more than doubled in the first three years of Dr. Turpin's term as president of the university.
