Dean Chamberlain
Dean Chamberlain is a photographer who specializes in unique lighting effects and extended exposure times (up to five hours), creating luminous and colorful images -- one of his exhibitions was aptly titled "Painting With Light Through Time and Space". His work has been featured in galleries worldwide, and he has served as artist-in-residence and guest lecturer at several prestigious universities and art schools.
He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1977.
He has taken photographs for David Bowie, Duran Duran, Paul McCartney, Deborah Harry, Madonna, Arcadia, Berlin, Missing Persons, Marshall Crenshaw, Roy Orbison and Stan Getz.
He received an MTV Breakthrough Award for directing music videos for Arcadia, Paul McCartney and Duran Duran.
He is the co-founder and co-director of the Light Space Gallery in Venice, California, founded in 2001.
