Deanhead Reservoir
The 'Deanhead Reservoir', alternatively known as 'Scammonden Water', is a huge man made reservoir found adjacent with the M62, west of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It was constructed in the 1960s to water the nearby town of Huddersfield. A village by the name of Scammonden once sat on the valley floor; during the drought of 1995, remains of the village could be seen. Today, all that remains of the village is St. Barthelomew's Church, constructed in 1810 and owned by the National Trust and the Old School, which closed in 1970.
