Death From Above 1979
Death From Above 1979 are a Toronto based Canadian rock music duo. Members are Jesse F. Keeler on bass/synths and Sebastien Grainger on vocals/drums. Refusing to enstate a lead guitarist, they play loud synth infused noise-funk on the drum and bass combination alone.
Originally named just "Death From Above", the duo were forced to change their name after a New York City dance-funk label named Death From Above threatened legal action. Curiously enough the band play music similar to some the artists featured on that label.
