Deepcut Barracks

Deepcut Barracks are British Army barracks near Camberley, Surrey, England. Several violent deaths occurred there in the 1990s. The Army claims that they were all suicides, but this has been rejected by the families.

In June 1995, Private Sean Benton, of Hastings, East Sussex, was found dead at the Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, with five bullet wounds to his chest. The Army reported he committed suicide.

In November 1995, Private Cheryl James, of Llangollen, was found dead with a single bullet wound to her head at the headquarters of the Royal Logistic Corps. Again, the Army reported she committed suicide.
