Del Taco
Del Taco is a chain of North American fast-food restaurants specialising in a fusion of Mexican and American food (sometimes termed 'Tex-Mex cuisine').
Founded in Barstow, California in 1964, the chain now has more than 400 locations across the United States, and is second only to Taco Bell in the marketplace. A privately held company, Del Taco, Inc. has its headquarters in the city of Lake Forest, California. In Lake Forest one can find two Del Taco restaurants literally across the street from each other. These two locations have remained in business for many years, despite being within sight of one another.
The current menu consists of a range of freshly prepared tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, cheeseburgers, fries and breakfast burritos. Popular items include the Veggie Works Burrito, Double Del Cheeseburger, Crinkle Cut Fries, Macho Nachos, and Macho Combo Burrito, which weighs over one pound.
