Derek Drymon
Derek Drymon (Born 1965 in Jefferson, New Jersey) is one of the biggest names in Nickelodeon cartoon productions of the 90's and 2000's. Drymon grew up in Jefferson, New Jersey, and eventually moved to Florida to get a job in the animation buisness. He started out as a comic book writer and eventually got hooked up with Nickelodeon in 1991, when he was aksed to work as an artist on Doug. He continued to work on Doug, as well as adding a second project Rocko's Modern Life in 1993, for which he was a writer and storyboard artist. In 1996 his fellow Rocko's Modern Life crewmate Tim Hill created the Kaablam! skit Action League Now!, for which he was a storyboard editor. He was an artist for Hey Arnold starting in 1996 as well. In 1998 he wrote one episode of the show CatDog, entitled "Doggone". Most recently, Drymon has been involved with his current project Spongebob Squarepants, which started in 1999. Drymon is very active with Spongebob Squarepants doing everything from writing and directing to editing stories. He took over production of Spongebob in 2004 after Stephen Hillenburg, the shows creator, left.
