Diocese of Lincoln
The Diocese of Lincoln forms part of the Province of Canterbury in England.
It traces its roots in an unbroken line to the the Diocese of Lindine founded in 678. Nowadays it is much diminished in size since it was the largest diocese in Europe. Many changes have been made to its boundaries since William the Conqueror established it in 1072.
The diocese is divided into 23 Deaneries:
- Aveland & Ness with Stamford
- Beltisloe , Bolingbroke
- Calcewaithe & Candleshoe , Christianity, Corringham
- Elloe East, Elloe West
- Graffoe , Grantham, Grimsby & Cleethorpes
- Haverstoe , Holland East, Holland West, Horncastle
- Isle of Axeholme
- Lafford , Lawres , Louthesk , Loveden
- Manlake
- West Wold
- Yarborough
