Dipsacaceae

The Dipsacaceae, or teasel family, contains 350 species of herbs and shrubs in eleven genera. It belongs to the order Dipsacales, and is found in Europe, Asia and Africa. Some species of this family have been naturalized in other places.
The family has contained the following genera.
- Dipsacus (teasel)
- Knautia
- Scabiosa
- Succisa (devil's bit)
- Succisella
- Morina -- also placed in its own family, Morinaceae.
- Cephalaria
- Pterocephalus
- Callistemma
- Pycnocomon
- Triplostegia
