Director-General of New Netherland
This is a list of Directors-General, appointed by the Dutch West India Company, of the 17th century Dutch colony of New Netherland (Nieuw Nederland in Dutch) in North America. The largest settlement in New Netherland was New Amsterdam, which became the city of New York when the English took control of and renamed the Dutch colony in 1664.
