Disney Vacation Club
The Disney Vacation Club is the common name for the timeshares in the Walt Disney World Resort and elsewhere owned and operated by Disney Vacation Development, Incorporated, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company.
Most of the resorts are in Walt Disney World Resort except the last two.
Disney Vacations includes
- Disney's Old Key West Resort
- Disney's BoardWalk Villas
- Disney's Beach Club Villas
- The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
- Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- Disney's Vero Beach, Florida
- Disney's Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Some project of resort were planed and cancelled. A project in Newport Coast, Ca appears in march 1994, followed by a report of Beaver Creek in Colorado. In August 1995 a issue of Wired magazine featured an article about Times Square in New York City, part of 42nd Street Project near the New Amsterdam Theater and ABC studios.
In February 1997, Disney announced that they were cancelling the plans for Newport Coast resort and 11 months later Marriott announce a project on Disney's former site which open in june 2000. The New York project was also abandonned on profit of a Sheraton Hotel art of E Walk Entertainment Complex.
