Division of Griffith
The Division of Griffith is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. The division was created in 1934, when the old seat of Oxley was renamed, and is named for Sir Samuel Griffith, a Premier of Queensland and principal author of the Australian Constitution. It is located in the inner southers suburbs of Brisbane, including on the current boundaries the suburbs of Bulimba , Coorparoo, Greenslopes and South Brisbane. The seat has always been marginal between the Australian Labor Party and the Liberal Party. Its current member, Kevin Rudd, is Labor's Shadow Foreign Minister and widely seen as a future party leader.
