Dog bone controller
The dog bone controller was the prototype controller for improved grip and was released alongside the SNES. The whole concept with this controller was to improve grip. As years passed, controllers for game systems have changed. Wing grip controllers are an improvement to the dogbone controller.
This controller shape was also implemented as a controller for the NES. The dog bone controller for the NES was packaged with the NES2. This controller shape has continued on for the use on NES clones.
