Donna Fargo
Donna Fargo (born Yvonne Vaughan on November 10, 1945 in Mount Airy, North Carolina) is an American singer, best known for her 1972 hit "The Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A.," which hit #1 on the Billboard country music charts.
Fargo went on to record a string of #1 hits from her aforementioned breakout hit in 1972 until 1978. She was given her own television variety show, The Donna Fargo Show , in 1978, and later departed from public view, guest-starring in the 1980s on television shows such as The Dukes of Hazzard and Hee Haw.
