Doomben railway line, Brisbane

The Doomben railway line is a suburban railway line in Brisbane, Australia. It is part of the Brisbane Citytrain Network. It runs eastwards across the north side of the city to the Doomben racecourse. It then connects with the Pinkenba rail-bus service.

It branches from the Caboolture/Shorncliffe lines and the Airport line at Eagle Junction.

The line originally ran as far as Pinkenba. The Pinkenba railway line was closed in 1993, due to lack of traffic, but the tracks and stations were not removed. In 1998, the line re-opened as far as Doomben, with bus connections to the other stations. The line generally carries low traffic, operating services principally either during peak hour on weekdays or during race days.
