Drapetsona (Greek, Δραπετσώνα), older form Drapetsonas is a suburb in the southwestern part of Athens, Greece. Drapetsona Bay lies to the west and northwest extending to east of Perama and the Piraeus Harbor lies to the southeast in which between 2002. The city is linked by a road linking to Skaramangas along with GR-8A/E94 and Athinon Avenue and along with Lambrakis Streets and Petrou Ralli Avenue to the north. It is also located S of Eleusis and GR-9, SW and W of Kifissou Avenue (GR-1/E75 , about 12 km WSW of Athens, W of Poseidonos Avenue and Syngrou Avenue and about 1.5 km NW of downtown Piraeus.

The area was made up of farmlands. Mixed farming was common. Urban development replaced much of the farmlands in the 190s and the 1940s. Today, half of the municipality are urbanized or residential. The Shipping area of Piraeus which is Athens' closest lies to the west and south. It was first opened in the mid-20th century. It took several years to expand the area. The area expanded about 1 kmē to make room for freight and shipping areas so shipping from Athens to other parts of the world can begin. The forests are in the southern and the western part along the shoreline.

Moschato has several facilities which was used for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Including a large one in the middle of an interchange.

Drapetsona has schools, lyceums, gymnasia, banks, a police station a post offic, a secondary soccer team and squares (plateies).
