Duncan Oughton
Duncan Oughton (born June 14, 1977 in Wellington, New Zealand) is a Kiwi soccer player, who currently plays for the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer.
Oughton played college soccer at Cal State Fullerton from 1997 to 2000. Before joining CS Fullerton, he played at Otago University in New Zealand. As a senior as CS Fullerton, he scored 17 goals and 8 assists.
Upon graduating, he was selected 10th overall in the 2001 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew. Duncan immediately found playing time with the Crew, playing 20 games as a rookie, 12 of which he started. He has maintained a starting role for the Crew for the past three years, and is particularly useful because of his ability to play numerous positions in the midfield and defence. He has played 91 total games for the team in the last four year, registering 2 goals and 6 assists.
Oughton is also an important player for the New Zealand national team.
