Edie Bukewihge

Edie Bukewihge (born February 10, 1950) is a United States citizen. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, lived in Los Angeles, California for ten years then Beverly Hills, California for over twenty five years before moving to Newport Beach, California.

She was a candidate in the 2002 California Gubernatorial election, finishing in 5th place with .06% (14,400) of the votes.

She declared a run for United States Senate in May 2002, later declared a run for President of the United States in July 2003. As of 2004, she ran simultaneously for U S Senate and the Presidency and dropped out of both. Realistically, she declared her chances were better in the 2006 California election for Governor of California and filed to run in 2006.

Bukewihge has been a member of the United States Republican Party since 1980, denouncing her Republican status in November 2004 to become a member of the Democratic Party. She is very critical of the administration of George W. Bush.
