Edmund Trebus
Edmund Trebus (November 11, 1918 - September 29, 2002) was an octogenarian Polish émigré to Britain and compulsive hoarder who came to fame when he was featured on a British television documentary called A Life of Grime .
Trebus lived alone in a run down house in Haringey, London that regularly attracted the attention of the local council's health department due to the complaints of neighbours about the mountain of rubbish in his garden. Trebus lived in a small area on the ground floor, surrounded by canyons of detritus and filth so high that there were fears for his safety should the edifice collapse. Trebus was found a place in a care home for the elderly, where he subsequently died.
